I am an award-winning landscape, adventure and travel photographer, specialising in outdoor and mountain imagery from across the United Kingdom and beyond.
In 2015 I was awarded the 'Light on the Land' category win and the Overall win to become 'Outdoor Photographer of the Year 2014'. In 2016 I won the 'Live the Adventure' category of the same competition.
In August 2015 I released my first quality photo book through Triplekite Publishing, entitled 'Mountainscape'.
I offer a number of workshops and photowalks in the UK throughout the year. My general style is relaxed with an emphasis on ensuring clients enjoy their day as far as possible, experiencing the outdoors as much as improving their photographic technique in challenging environments. As a long-time and very experienced hillwalker I have over many years organised and led groups of upwards of 40 people on day long walks, multi-day and week long holidays. Additionally I am very experienced leading large groups and individuals from sea to summit across exposed terrain and in all conditions. As such, my workshops typically involve an element of adventure mixed with some familiar locations.
Equipment
"I'm often asked what photographic equipment I use but I am a great believer that the story is about the image itself, not about what you used to create the image. However, it is no secret that the tools I use now have helped me create an image 'feel' that I am comfortable with, as such I currently use:
Sony a7Rii camera body
Sony a7 Infra-red 720nm converted camera body
Sony 16-35 f/4 lens
Sony 70-200 f/4 lens
Carl Zeiss Loxia 50mm f/2 lens
Canon 24mm TSE lens mounted on Metabones MkIV adapter
Gitzo GT2542 Tripod
Arca Swiss P0 Hybrid ballhead with gearing
Kase Wolverine K-100X Filter System"
