Greg Whitton | Workshop Testimonials

"Excellent pre planning and communication prior to the Workshop, explaining exactly what to take was really helpful, Greg is very patient and considerate and on hand to offer advice, he even made us coffee in a pine forest! I would definitely recommend, you will be well looked after." - Sarah B, Snowdonia, Nov 15'

"Excellent weekend which was both informative and good fun, Being out in all conditions has given me the impetus to get off my backside when the weather looks less than perfect and look for the light!" - Barry P, Snowdonia, Nov 15'

"Great knowledge of the area, allowing access to sites we might not have otherwise seen.  Also provided the opportunity to get to alternative sites when the weather was less than enjoyable." - Les B, Snowdonia, Nov 15'

"The workshop was terrific and I really enjoyed the format, being outdoors for the whole day. Personally, I feel that I learned a lot over the weekend, but at a nice comfortable pace that worked for me. I also got plenty of exercise and saw some truly stunning landscapes over the course of the weekend!

The group size was ideal, allowing each of us to get as much 1-2-1 time with Greg as we wanted. He was able to easily address all of our questions with useful advice and guidance. Greg clearly has a lot of knowledge of the local area, which proved invaluable when adjusting the schedule to maximise the most of our weekend in changing weather conditions. He is also a very experienced photographer and has an extremely relaxed and confident style of tuition.

In the field, Greg looked at how I used my camera both compositionally & technically, then showed me some alternative approaches & threw in different ideas over the course of the day, in easy to understand bite-sized chunks. One key takeaway for me was how I frame my shots (5:4 portrait seems to be a winner for many scenes)!

It was also good to have some instruction on filters, particularly the circular polariser and the artistic effect it can have on water reflections and reducing glare. By the end of the weekend I came away with some fabulous shots. I would definitely recommend one of Greg's workshops to anyone who is interested in improving their landscape photography, especially if you have a passion for mountains." - Damien D, Snowdonia, Feb 16'

"Greg is very approachable and gives some key tips both on the photography and the outdoor mountain environment aspects of the course. The course is an absorbing experience and you learn a lot, both from Greg and others in the group of three. Great location, good food and a chance to get out in the hills with the possibility  of some memorable pictures." - Richard G, Snowdonia, Feb 16'
